Privacy Policy

Magical Castaway is a free, fan-made Disney Cruise Line planning tool. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how to reach us with questions. We've kept it short on purpose — there isn't much to say, because we don't collect much.

What we collect

When you build a countdown timeline and opt in to email reminders, we store:

• Your email address.
• The sailing details you provide: sail date, ship, party size, first name (optional), and your Castaway Club tier.
• The milestone dates we calculate from those details so we can send a reminder the night before each one.

If you use the planner without turning on email reminders, your inputs are processed in memory to generate the timeline and are not stored on our servers.

Why we collect it

We use your email address and sailing details for a single purpose: to send reminders the night before each booking window opens for your cruise (port adventures, specialty dining, spa, online check-in, etc.).

Service providers

To operate the service we rely on a small number of third-party vendors that host the site, store your sailing record, and deliver the reminder emails. These providers process data on our behalf and may handle limited operational data (e.g. server logs, IP addresses at the edge) to keep the service running and secure. They are not permitted to use your data for their own marketing.

Retention

We keep your sailing record only as long as we need it to send the reminders and to operate the service. You can ask us to delete your record at any time — see “Your choices” below.

No sale of data

We do not currently sell your personal information or use it to build advertising profiles. If our practices change in the future, we will update this policy and the “Last updated” date above.

Your choices

Every reminder email includes an unsubscribe link that stops further messages. You can also email us at hello@magicalcastaway.com to:

• Ask us what we have stored about you.
• Ask us to correct or delete your record.
• Ask any other question about how we handle your data.

Children

Magical Castaway is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please email hello@magicalcastaway.com and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify subscribers by email before the change takes effect.
